I'm Married!!!

It happened! We got up and got our hair done at 10, we went to the church and waited what felt like an eternity but I got my make-up done and it was finally time to get some pictures! WC came and took a cute one of the girls holding a mirror, we got one where Brett and I couldn't see each other, and we did ones with my dad, mom, sister, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and little Finn! When I put on my dress I was just ready to race down the aisle and get married already! I can't describe the feeling, I was nervous...I was excited...I just wanted to become my best friend's wife. When the time came that I heard family was arriving I was giddy! Soon the grandparents were being seated, I had my veil over my face, the mothers were lighting the unity candles, the bridesmaids were walking...there was such a rush that I had been waiting and waiting and now everything was happening so fast! The music I had mapped out was on, the people we loved were seated and watching...next thing I knew my dad was walking me to the aisle. I couldn't stop smiling if I tried. I looked up and there he was, the man I was ready to spend the rest of my life with...waiting there at the end of the aisle beaming back at me. When we reached the end of the aisle my dad put the ring he gave me so many years ago on my other hand, he flipped my veil, gave me a kiss and put my hand in Brett's. We walked up the steps to start the ceremony. I'm glad we taped it because all I could do was stare at Brett and smile, we had our own little conversation. We said our vows, lit the unity candle while Shawn Minter sang, did our first prayer, exchanged rings, and kissed each other as we became man and wife! After even more pictures we got on the party bus and headed to the reception.
When we got to the reception Jared announced our party while they came in wearing New Years Eve hats, lays, and blowing horns! We sat at our head table and let everyone eat up before we started toasts. Brett and I got to talking to everyone, so much so that Brett forgot to put meat on his sandwich! Amber, Brooks and our dads gave great toasts. Of course Amber poked fun at Brett's age, Brooks at my small size, and my dad about made me cry with his sweet words. After toasts we had our first dance to Then by Brad Paisley, followed by the Father/Daughter dance Just Fishin by Trace Adkis and Mother/Son Then They Do by Trace Adkins. We auctioned off the garter and tossed the flowers (congrats to Ash A!) Dollar Dances and then it was just plain party time! It was 2012 before I could believe it and we were back on the bus and heading to the bed and breakfast. I loved every second of the wedding and can't believe how fast it went but now I'm married to the man of my dreams and starting a whole new adventure!
