This year I have so much to be thankful for! Brett and I are engaged and 37 days from saying our vows. We've got a lot of the apartment done, ceilings, painting, flooring, clean carpets, and new pieces of furniture. We keep adding to the house with each shower I have too! We have so many people that love us and care about us. I also only had a two day week this week and only have two weeks left of student teaching when I return from break. I can't believe my time is almost up and graduation is right around the corner!
Wednesday, for my first day off, Brett and I went to the court house. No, we didn't decided to just get married, but he had a case and I was going to look into getting our marriage licence. They said to come back, it was still too early. So what did we do? We went to talk to the caterer and ran into the guy that is singing for our wedding. It was a real wedding planning day! I did dishes and laundry while Brett worked. We had pizza for dinner and we also listened to the first Dave Ramsey lesson.
Today, Thursday, I've got a pie in the oven and going to make green bean casserole. Brett is making sweet potatoes. We've got my side at noon and his at two...so it'll be a nice full day!
Tomorrow, Friday, looks like a pretty great day. We hope to have left overs, Brett wants to get a little work done and I'll need to look over some lesson plans. Then we've got some dressers and an entertainment center to move around. Plus I want to hang some more things on the walls. We have new stuff to put in the MU guest bedroom and a cute sign that says "It's never to late for a happily ever after" for above our bed in the master bedroom :)
Saturday is the MU/KU game and Sunday is my last wedding shower. Lexi and Amber put their heads together for the bridal party. Should be a great time!!
