To Minnesota we go! Monday morning we left for the Hurst family vacation. Wendy was a travel trooper! We left at 8:30, got half way there before stopping! We stopped at the half way mark for food, fuel, and restroom. She took an hour nap and was so excited when we arrived! She got to put her feet in at the beach and off we went to eat at Brew...yum!! We came back to play with our cousins and crash into bed!
Tuesday, I have mixed feelings about not being at school getting ready for a new year. I am excited for my sister as she starts her first year at Fairfax and I think it helped me by being able to help her get her classroom ready. Instead of worrying about a classroom I was off to fish with my husband. Even though neither of us caught anything (a big one broke my line) and our boat took on water causing us to come back at noon, we had a good time. We came back, had lunch, ran to town for some awesome cheese, fresh fruits/veggies, and wine! Got back to swim, fish with Wendy on the dock, and eat delish fish!
Wednesday, turtle races!! Nana, Papa, Janell, and Titus headed home, but Wendy had a blast! Afterwards we all had lunch and returned for a nap! The boys skipped fishing for relaxing and everyone took a dip in the lake. Wendy has love finding 'seashells'. After our leisure afternoon we chowed down and had an early night.
Thursday, as Lala has her first day we headed to the park. We met our new friend Julia who invited us to her house when she had to leave. She was three and so sweet with Wendy, even shared her squirt gun! After park fun was quiet time, my personal favorite time of vacation ;) I have read Heaven is For Real and Thirteen Reasons Why during quiet times. After everyone woke up we went to the beach where Wendy picked up a live spider to bring to me, pooped on the beach, watched daddy clean fish, and told me she needed Goo at the grocery store...and her pink paci, very specific.

The Fairfax Fair is here once again, but this time (and for the first time ever!) I wasn't there. I was spending my Friday come home though!
Saturday, we picked up Goo for the parade. Wendy loved the flag going by, the band, the horses, the princess, and of course the candy! She wasn't a big fan of the fire trucks. After the parade we went around to see all the booths and food, but before we could play we had to go take a nap. After nap we came back and rode the tractor ride, went down the slide, and played in the sand. We won a blanket and a big goodie basket!
Sunday Wendy went to church in the park with Goo and Papa and we took Papa out for his birthday!

The following weekend was the CHF golf tournament.

Then we went to St. Louis! Wendy stayed with Goo and Papa Friday and Saturday night. Brett had to ref Friday and then off we went! Saturday was the Cardinals game.
