It's nice to wrap everything up at school knowing I'm not going to have to deal with it next year. I will miss parts of it, but I'm excited to be home with my babies!
Since I won't be working next year, Brett and I have been working on a budget since January. At first it was just a suggestion that we'd try to keep track of as we spent, then in April we actually cashed our checks and did the envelope system. It's still a learning process and I'm hoping this summer will give me time to figure out some aspects of budgeting, meal planning, a cleaning schedule...I know come November all schedules will go out the window, but I think this poor second baby is going to have to deal with more of a schedule than Wendy did. With Wendy when she cried I fed her, everything was new and scary, and I quit breast feeding pretty quickly because I was overwhelmed. Being a first time teacher and a first time mom was a lot! This time I'm hoping to be more relaxed and comfortable with the situation. I'm also hoping to not get as rilled up by a messy house :) I do want to have some freezer meals ready and I'm going to sleep whenever I can! I'm going to accept help, I've learned from you fellow bloggers. This baby, it's and Wendy's health, and happiness are my first priority :) and their daddy's too of course. Good time to remember how lucky I am that I'm on this adventure with Brett because he's a daddy that does dishes, laundry, cleans the bathroom, vacuums, pays bills, changes diapers, gives baths and feeds a kid if it needs done. I want to be superhero stay at home mom, but I know there will be times I'll need his help and I won't feel like a burden because he's been 'at work all day' because let's face it...I have too. He enjoys cooking and helping with kids. I'll just try not to leave the jobs I don't like for him ;)
I'm not going to post each week how the baby is the same size as some fruit, I did that with Wendy. However, I will share the gender, when we feel kicks, and our life as we get ready for number two!
