Election and Camp---Two for One!

Tuesday I worked the election for my home town. I was up at 4:30am and in town by 5:30am! Three other ladies I knew from town worked with me. We spend the day directing people, talking, and I even finished a whole book! My mom brought me lunch from the Dairy Diner at 11:00am and I had a few snacks in my purse. I was mainly in charge of the touch screen part of the voting! I had so much fun with that! By 7:00pm we were done and boy was I glad about that. I went home but was right back out the door to go golfing. I went golfing with a friend and then afterwards he bought me dinner at the bar in town and gave me a tour of his office. It was the fun night I needed after such a long day.
Wednesday I got up, did six miles and then got ready for the Chiefs Training Camp! My dad and I left around 5:40pm and got there around 6:30pm. We went down on the track to watch the players enter onto the field then went and got seats up in the bleachers. I saw an old high school PE teacher (one that taught after I had left high school), some people from Northwest (I couldn't remember any of their names), and I saw my adopted set of grandparents Papa Alan and Grandma Judy! We got out picture taken with KC Wolf. Then dad and I decided to hit up the merchandise tent and I got a hat while he got two hats and got mom a hoodie. Next we hunted down the beer tent and had a drink (mostly because I wanted the cups). After that we sat on the other side for awhile. Next was autographs, dad got two players that we didn't know. I got the coaches!! Afterwards we went to eat at 54th Street and came home exhausted. On the ride home we were so tired that we barely talked, but that's ok because I just needed to spend sometime with my dad. Having him to myself and getting to see the Chiefs a great way to spend the evening.
Today I am taking my mom and the dog to the groomer (only the dog is getting groomed) and then I'm going to do my time on the treadmill. I have to be ready to go to Maryville at 5:30pm. I going to dinner/movie with the same guy I went golfing with...we'll see how this goes :)
