Wendy comes home

Saturday morning after I'd had two shots, we had watched 5 informational videos, and filled out multiple forms the hospital trusted us to take Wendy home. We had a few visitors and then we were off. With the minor slip of forgetting my phone the transition wasn't too bad. Brett and I both felt the sudden realization that this baby was ours!
Brett was happy to have his little girl home to watch her first MU game!
That first night we were nervous and stumbled trough a few things but all in all I think it went well!
The next day (Sunday) we had my parents and Brett's parents and brother over throughout the day. Wendy watched her first Chiefs game and had her second Skype date (1st one was aunt Ashley, 2nd aunt Amber). We tried to keep her up longer and feed her more through the day to see if she'd sleep and eat better at night.
Her second night home she was a big girl and slept in her crib in her room...mommy cried :( it was a big step to go from having her inside me and with me all the time to having her down the hall with no one checking on her for us.
Monday, Brett went to work. This was hard for both of us. My mom came over to keep me company. I've realized that having a daughter, or maybe just a child, has made me love my mom even more.
Lee came over to help me figure out my pump so I could start stalking up for little miss and get her used to a bottle for when she goes to the grandma's houses.
Tuesday was a big family outing! We went to St Joe to get some things. All in all we were tired but it was a great day!
Wednesday the nurse stopped by for her home visit. It put some worries to rest for me and Brett.
