The dares continue

- Take a leap. I've applied for a scholarship for Share Training. This will be at the end of September when Jo won't hardly be a month old! The four of us will head to St. Louis for a couple days. I would have never thought of traveling with Wendy at that time so I feel a little crazy attempting it with Jo, but it's a leap I'm excited about! (This got postponed, but I will take this leap!)
- Ask for help. I didn't necessarily ask, but with Brett being got at conferences, Wendy and I have stayed at my parents a  lot. It's nice because my mom has done laundry and dishes!
- Make a love list. (100 things) I did this as it's own post! It was fun thinking of things I enjoy :)
- Seek guidance. With planning to send Wendy to preschool I've sought a lot of guidance...is she really ready if she still has some accidents, will we be ready for her to be a big girl, will she resent that Jo gets to stay home with me during maternity leave, will she like going to Miss Christy's still...
- Come from a place of yes. Basically this has been the answer to my seeking guidance. Yes! She's ready. Yes! We will be too...eventually :)
- Celebrate. The Wednesday of Wendy's preschool open house we are going out to dinner before to celebrate our big girl, she only starts school like this once.
- Lighten your load. Literally, I've been sorting and eliminating from our house and my moms! Less to put away or clean up!
- Dance. Wendy has been signed up for dance class, so there is a lot more dancing in our lives!
- Seek culture. Since we haven't had money to travel to far away places I've been soaking up a friend and his new bride's honeymoon pictures on Facebook from all over Europe.
- Build yourself up. I've decided to build myself up by choosing how I want to spend my time and weeding out the unnecessary.
- Dream up your next adventure. I feel like Brett and I are constantly doing this when we talk about building a home or where we want to take the girls. However, we really are going on an adventure in March, we're going back to New Orlands for our first vacation that is just the two of us without being one night or a work conference for four years!!
- Reconnect with someone from your past, this actually has no interest to me. I've decided that this goes hand in hand with building myself up, not forcing friendships.
- Choose to believe that you are enough...I'm doing this by seeking out less advice from strangers on blogs on how to!
- Have someone's back, with preschool comes a new teacher! I am a super nerd of a mom and dove into "what can I do to help" mode immediately.
- Schedule yourself a photo shoot. With Murphy we had decided not to do maternity photos to save money. This time we're spending the money to have some taken. Taylor, the photographer who did Ashley and Bryce's wedding is going to take them for us. I'm excited and hope Jo stays in there long enough to have them done.
- Craft your five year vision. In five years I will be, gulp, 31! I will have been out of high school for 13 years, college for 9! I'll have a seven year old and a five year old! I would love to be in our 'forever home' with a bigger vehicle. Career wise...I want to have start a Share Chapter for Atchison County and possible not have to work for Brett due to his being a judge. I've thought about working for my dad at that point. Five years seems so far away and so short or time all the same!
- Make a good financial move, I've been sorting out a lot of stuff we don't use and don't need and selling it to put the money towards Christmas presents. That way any left over money we can give ourselves a present by putting towards our mortgage.
- Let yourself off the hook, I'm still learning when it comes to working for Brett and as being a mom. I decided to let myself off the hook and if I mess up I will choose to learn from it and move on...life is too short for dwelling!
- Do something awesome for someone else. I'm not the hosting type, but I'm hosting a baby shower for a friend of mine. Her husband is from the area, but she's from Dallas and went to college in Columbia. She's working at the hospital, but no one was planning on throwing her a shower so I jumped in, very unlike me!
- Name it, if I were truly brave I would...not care what others think about me...I'm getting closer.
